Data Operations Lead, Capture Network (US)
Own the system that turns distributed capture partners into data a research team can actually train on.
About the role
You will own how footage gets made in North America. That means finding and managing the partners who do the capture, turning a buyer's specification into a shoot plan they can execute, and holding the line on quality before data ever reaches a customer. You will work between three groups that rarely speak the same language — research teams who describe what they need in model terms, capture partners who think in shifts and sites, and our own delivery process. This is a hands-on operations role: you will be reading footage, rejecting takes, and rewriting instructions until the output is consistent.
What you'll do
- Recruit, onboard and manage capture partners — scope, volume, turnaround, commercial terms
- Translate buyer specs into shoot plans: scenes, tasks, coverage targets, acceptance criteria
- Own quality at source — sampling, rejection criteria, and the feedback loop back to partners
- Keep standards consistent with the LatAm network so a buyer sees one supply, not two
What we're looking for
- Experience running field operations or a distributed contractor network
- Comfortable saying no to work that doesn't meet spec, and explaining why
- Organized under ambiguity — this role defines its own process in the first six months
- Nice to have: exposure to data collection, annotation, or media production workflows
